As a wee lad, I was intrigued by all of the things you could do on a computer without people having a sense for what you look like or how old you are.
I thought it was funny when I told my dad a blowjob joke I found on the internet. (better than no job, fucka) 💎
The computer was an alternative to going in public as an 8 year old and harassing people who were knowledgeable about a topic. I also found that people were quite bitter, limey even, and so it was nice to only look at text. In fact, it still is.
People on the internet were especially rude 10+ years ago, although I saw that as a relatively insignificant tradeoff to what I believed was myself alone in front of text on a screen. Naturally, this made me even limier.
Now computers follow me everywhere. My dad said over and over "I have eyes in the back of my head." True, huh. I have a mechanical appendage that is going to require lots of care to perfect.
