NieR:Automata sold like hot cakes, but you know what would make it even better? An enormous budget, more areas, more variety, and more characters. Maybe even MMO features.
The cute lolis are the best part of the game and the environments are lush. It's slick, it's fun, and the combat is clutch; the way it's hack and slash and also sort of a mech game is sick. I'll admit, I stopped playing after I found out A2 cuts her hair, but there was too much repetition. PlatinumGames set out to do a lot and they did most of it really well.
NieR has a real solid foundation and an awesome narrative. It's the hottest franchise to watch right now, IMO.
